Be Bold

Be Bold

BE BOLD has been a concept on my mind for several years now. Therefore, when I come across real-life stories of BOLDNESS, I pay particular attention. Here is one of my favorites. In 2017, a young Rabbi Alperowitz moved from Brooklyn to become the new and only Rabbi in South Dakota. He began with a vision and nearly nothing else. He and his family are now thriving in Sioux Falls - and he is certainly in a career that is aligned with who he is.

Today I received an email he distributed about BOLDNESS that I want to share. He wrote, “No matter how bleak the odds may seem or how distant that goal, we have the ability to reach it and excel. So regardless of where you pray this Rosh Hashanah, whether alone at home, or in a socially distanced service, let us each pray for a good year, a year of good health for ourselves, our friends, our city, state, and country, and indeed all of humanity." Join me in wishing Rabbi Mendel Alperowitz another wonderful Jewish New Year of BOLDNESS.
